Lesson Objectives:

• describe inequality and equality with regards to measurement of weights using correct math symbols (greater than, less than, equal to)

• add weights to a scale to balance with weights on the other side and identify when the scale is balanced..

• predict whether two groups of weights will be equal or unequal weights

Materials Needed:

• NoRILLA Balance Scales

• Pre-built objects and blocks

• Optional Literature

• Dry erase boards/dry erase markers
