• describe greater than,  less than and equal to

• describe and use the math symbols appropriately for greater than, less than, and equal to

• describe what it means when the scale shows even weight and when uneven weight is added

• predict whether two groups of weights will be equal or unequal weights

Materials Needed:

• NoRILLA Balance Scales

• Student-made balance scales or ready-made scales for each station

• Worksheets (check the list in the lesson to choose those best suited for your students)

• Cubes in a variety of colors for each group

• Dice for each group using Worksheet F Amazon foam dice
